Addictions
There are many, many different forms of addiction. Drugs, alcohol, gambling, sex, and food are some of the most popular, but there are many that are more subtle. Whenever we are saddled with an addiction that we can't beat, it can lead to a significant decrease in our mental well-being.
There are, of course many programs and rehab centers to help us in overcoming addictions. Some of these work better than others, and some are definitely more expensive than others. The trick is to find one that will work well for our particular problem.
The first and most important part of overcoming addictions is wanting to change. Without a strong desire to modify destructive behavior, all the programs in the world won't help a person beat an addiction.
